It's hitting that point in the summer when I really start wishing for winter. Or at least just to pack up some gear, throw my laptop and a sleeping bag in the car, then drive up to the mountains. Or anywhere it's colder. The question is, where?

Ask Warren really, really nicely? But something like Iceland or the northern-most parts of Canada might actually be doable. And it's winter in Australia!

Well, usually it's bolts of fabric or shoes, but I'm good on shoes for the moment. I'm pondering painting my bedroom, so I could trade for labor.

This is the time of year when I sometimes head up to Alaska for a few weeks actually. Just to get away from the worst of the heat and catch up with people.

It's not quite the poles but you're welcome to join me.

It's a beautiful country, we should definitely make a trip up there. One of my favourite places in the world.

That goes without saying. The last thing I want is for you to end up frozen. Although that does explain why there are so many hot tubs up there.
